I have to say, I am extremely happy that it’s publication day for Summer Strawberries at Swallowtail Bay! The main reason is that the first draft was so hard to write and ultimately, a bit pants, but thanks to my fab editor at HQ Digital, Sarah Goodey, it’s become one of the books I am most proud of. I absolutely love this story now and it’s all because of Sarah’s amazing editorial advice.

Some of you may remember a blog post I did called The Trouble with Book 5, where I talked about how awful I’d found writing it and all the troubles I was encountering. Well, this is that book! In some ways, I can’t believe we got there, but we did and now I’m completely in love with this story and these characters. I’m so happy it became the story I always hoped it would be.

Thank you, Sarah for being such a great editor and helping me figure out what was missing from that first draft. I can’t wait to see what all you lovely readers think.

I hope you’ll all join me in a little tipple this evening to celebrate, and if you feel so inclined, please grab a copy to enjoy with it!
