Christmas Short Story Challenge!

For all those aspiring writers out there I’ve got a little challenge for you this festive period! Sometimes, when we’re not planning on writing and instead choose to relax and unwind, that’s exactly when creativity can strike, especially this time of year because who doesn’t love a Christmas themed story.

So here’s my challenge to you, if you get itchy fingers and feel the need to write, have a go at a short story! It can be anything from flash fiction of 100 words to the more commercial size of 1000-1200 and 3000-4000.

And to help you on your way, I’ve compiled a list of 20 prompts below to help you!

Happy writing!

The first thing you need to know about me is, I like gin. Lots and lots of gin.
I live in the South East of England in a lovely little town by the sea and spend my time working, running around after my kids, walking our King Charles Spaniel, Wotsit, and writing!

I love history and have a Master’s degree, but have also been lucky enough to work in various castles and museums over the years. I’ve yet to get one of them into a story though – I really must try harder!
