Now, I know it’s supposed to be summer but all this rain had me wearing a jumper and thinking about cozy Christmas reads this week. Not to mention we’re starting to see exciting Christmas covers from some of my favourite authors.
As I was feeling all the snuggly vibes, I thought that this week on the blog I’d share a review of one of my favourite Christmas reads…One Week ‘Til Christmas by Belinda Missen. Who, by the way, is one of my automatic pre-order authors. Anytime I know she has a book coming out, I’m straight in there because I have to have it as soon as it’s released. Her books are often compared to Mhairi McFarlane and you can’t go far wrong with that!
This book had me laughing out loud and the hero is completely swoon-worthy, giving off big Benedict Cumberbatch energy. It was such a witty, engaging read with a character you want to be your best friend and a hero you want to pull of the page and make real in your living room (too much? Sorry!).
It can be difficult to have your characters falling in love in a believable way over a short space of time, but Belinda executes it beautifully. This really is a fantastic Christmassy love story, guaranteed to make your heart burst and give you all the Christmas feels.
