March 2026

Welcome to this month's update!

Hi my lovely,

How's your month been?

I've had an exciting one with lots of good news and exciting things happening, as well as the usual never ending washing pile, being a taxi driver for my kids, and trying to keep the house clean!

First of all, I want to say a massive thank you to all the German readers who've picked up a copy of The Floating Amsterdam Flower Shop in German. It's had a bestseller flag for over a month and I'm absolutely blown away! Thank you all so much!

And thank you for the love in the UK for The Floating Venice Bookshop! Seeing it on Tesco's shelves next to Beth O'Leary no less, is a dream come true, and I'm so, so grateful to everyone who's nipped along and bought a copy. To celebrate how amazing this month's been, I'm running an exclusive giveaway only for people who've signed up to my mailing list (you guys!) so check out the details below.

While all that's been happening I've also been working hard on my next project and making plans for my first spicy romcom written as Kat Ginger. It's taken a bit longer to come together, but I hope to have news to share soon.

And, as it's Mother's Day coming up, I thought I'd share some bookish gift ideas because books are always better than flowers. I hope you find some inspiration below and of course, there's the usual book bargains from my back list and a couple from my front list too.

As always I love to connect on socials, particularly Instagram, so do tag me and let me know what your favourite books have been this month and what you're looking forward to reading next. I'm always happy to add books to my tbr!

Happy reading!
lots of love,
Katie

My month...

This month I'd love to know...

Which literary heroine do you relate too most?

I'm not sure who mine is! I'd like to think someone feisty, but I'd probably be Mary from Pride and Prejudice! 🀣

Response to this email and let me know!

The Floating Venice Bookshop

(Ebook only!)

Can a bookshop bring two hearts together?

Beth loves everything about living in Venice. The meandering canals and the cobbled street have captured her heart, so when she loses her job and fears she’ll have to return to England, she’s devastated.

Until she stumbles upon a book barge for sale, it seems like fate. Beth has long harboured a dream of opening a specialised bookshop that combines her two passions: art and books. She just needs to be brave enough to take a chance, and maybe a little help from a local.
Enter Marco, a gorgeous, passionate local art promoter, and their chemistry is instant and electric. Beth needs Marco's local knowledge to launch her business, but as they work together, both seem determined to ignore the sparks flying between them.

The closer they become, the more their attraction grows. Soon, they will have to choose – face their fears and give love a chance – or walk away forever.

As Rosie’s business blossoms, so do her feelings for Max. But Rosie isn't sure she's ready for a relationship, and Max is still nursing a broken heart.

Then a rival in the flower market threatens her dreams, Rosie discovers that the most beautiful things can bloom when you learn to go with the flow – and allow someone to stand by your side.

Will Rosie and Max allow themselves to be swept away by love, or is their relationship doomed to sink before it can swim?

The Little Library on Cherry Lane

Elsie Martin may lead a quiet life, but working in her beloved local library is enough to make her happy. After all, books have always been her armour against the world. So when the library is threatened with closure to make way for a new housing development, Elsie knows it has to be saved – and that, despite being painfully shy, she needs to lead the campaign to save it.

Jacob Yardley thinks he’s doing the right thing by building a new affordable housing development. Why shouldn’t local people be able to buy a house in the place they grew up? Having to leave his own small hometown broke his heart. Plus, people don’t really use libraries anymore, do they?

As Elsie and Jacob clash over the future of the library, sparks begin to fly.

Jacob is falling back in love with books and libraries – could he possibly be falling for her too? And will Elsie be able to save the library that means so much to her?
