November's News!
Welcome to this month's update😍
I can't believe we're in November! For me this is the month where I get serious about Christmas: present buying, food ordering and of course, reading all those gorgeous cosy Christmas romances! If you don't already, nip over and follow me on Instagram where I love sharing my latest reads and all the books I've added to my ever growing TBR pile too!
Behind the scenes, I'm working on my next Annabel French novel. This week I hit the halfway mark and what better place for my characters to have their first kiss! I adored writing it, but of course, things aren't going to be easy through the second half (poor Max and Rosie).Well done to everyone who guessed where this one's going to be set, but I'm not supposed to talk about that yet so shhhhh! It's our secret!
I've got a couple of book bargains to share with you below as Christmas at the Chateau is on a 99p Kindle Monthly Deal and Snowflakes at Mistletoe Cottage is also 99p, but I don't know how long for! Will either of these be the first Christmas books on your festive TBR?
In other news, copyedits for my latest Palace Girls book (written as Emma Royal) land later this month and I'm so sad to be saying goodbye to these characters. I've loved delving into Buckingham Palace in the 1950s and the early days of Elizabeth II's reign. I'm going to miss them when this series is done.
When I'm not writing this month I'll be working on things for the Romantic Novelists' Association. Our wonderful Chair and I are attending the Kindle Storyteller Awards (so exciting!) and we've got a Board meeting too. We've got exciting plans for the RNA and if you're a romance writer (published or unpublished) check us out!
Otherwise I'll be enjoying the cold weather and using it as an excuse to snuggle up in my reading nook and racing through all the festive fiction I can get my hands on!
Until then, happy reading everyone and don't forget to share your reading recommendations with me!

Last months favourite romance genre was cosy romances set in village locations! But sports romances and destination romances got honourable mentions too!
I'd love to know...
Where do you prefer to read? In bed? On the sofa? Do you have a special place?
Reply to this email and let me know your answer! I'll reveal the results next month.

Life has gone a little bit downhill for Naomi Winters…
Ever since her ex-husband Ollie filed for a divorce last Christmas, Naomi is a self-confessed scrooge. She hates her job, has exactly zero hobbies, and on top of that she’s all alone this holiday season.
Spurred on by her best-friend Mia – who has invited her to spend Christmas at her snow-kissed Chateau in the Swiss Alps – she decides it’s time for change. But, when she arrives, she’s shocked to see Mia’s big brother Gabriel. It’s been fifteen years since they last saw eachother, forcing her to face memories she’d rather forget.
As Naomi grapples with getting her life back on track, she throws herself into various festive activities, and she can’t seem to escape Gabriel this time…
Will he manage to thaw her icy heart, or is she on a downward slope to disappointment?

And Snowflakes at Mistletoe Cottage is 99p
❄❄ but I don't know for how long! ❄❄

On a grey, London day, Esme’s world crumbles around her when she loses her glitzy job on a top TV programme, her gorgeous, city-slicker boyfriend and her stunning apartment, all in one fell swoop just before Christmas.
Esme is forced suddenly to move back to her sleepy hometown of Sandchester, and despite the snow blanketing the roof and the fairy lights that twinkle in her rustic little cottage, everything is looking bleak. That is until she reconnects with an old crush and finds herself unexpectedly getting swept away.
But Joe, handsome and charming as he is, is not all he seems. Esme soon realises that he has a tragic past which he just might not be able to overcome…
Surrounded by her loving, if harebrained, family and with the support of her hilarious friends, Esme is determined to have a go at forging her own path, even if it all comes to nothing.
But one question still lingers in her mind: will she find someone to kiss under the mistletoe this Christmas?
